The mission of the Carter Community Foundation is helping people live better lives through the support of charitable organizations in the communities we serve.

The foundation was established by Carter Healthcare in 2015 to place a stronger emphasis on our community involvement, whether through financial support or by volunteering our time, skills and expertise. Our focus is on the communities where we provide services, in these eight states: Florida, Kansas, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas, and West Virginia.

Some of the charitable organizations we have supported during the past year include:

• Alzheimer’s Association—Eliminating Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; providing and enhancing care and support for all affected; and reducing the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health
• YouCaring Houston Flood Relief Fund—Helping victims of Hurricane Harvey
• Joy In The Cause—Providing care, compassion, and joy one personal act of kindness at a time to individuals with life-altering illnesses or special needs
